Michelle Bailey Michelle is taking part in the 4-mile wheelchair race to raise money for Headway Oxfordshire.

Headway is brain injury charity close to her family’s hearts, she says: “My Dad attends a Headway group in  in Kennington, Oxford. Headway supports people affected by brain injury and their families. Every day we see the impact the charity makes in helping people affected by brain injuries.”.

Michelle has convinced her my mum / carer to accompany her round in case she needs help. They had done a trial run of the route and she says: “ I hope to do the course without help but I still struggle over the last bridge”.

“I am a full-time wheelchair user (Shadow is the name I give my wheels). I have hypermobility and chronic pain but love taking part in races. This is my first at Blenheim but have taken part in Oxford Town and gown 10k wheelchair race, Race for Life in Oxford and London, and Oxfords 5k races.

This is my first race back since lockdown but am very much looking forward to it and raising as much as I can for Headway Oxfordshire.”
